What We Offer

Your Star in Space provides a symbolic star naming service. When you purchase our service, you receive:

• A personalised digital certificate featuring a real star from the HYG Stellar Database
• The star's real astronomical coordinates (Right Ascension and Declination)
• A permanent, shareable mini-site for your named star
• A unique Registry ID for your dedication
• Additional features depending on your selected package (Nano or Nebula)

Important Clarification

3. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction
• Have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement
• Provide accurate and complete information when placing an order

4. Orders and Payment

Pricing

All prices are displayed in your selected currency (USD, EUR, or GBP). Prices are inclusive of all applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorised to use the payment method and authorise us to charge the full amount. All transactions are encrypted and secure.

Order Confirmation

Upon successful payment, you will receive an order confirmation via email. This email contains links to your star certificate, mini-site, and admin access. Please save this email as it contains important access information.

5. Delivery of Digital Products

All our products are delivered digitally and are available immediately after successful payment. You will receive:

• A high-resolution PDF certificate (A4, 300 DPI, print-ready)
• A permanent link to your star's mini-site
• An admin link for managing your order
• For Nebula tier: A personalised video (hosted for 365 days, downloadable)

Delivery is made to the email address provided during checkout. Please ensure you enter a correct email address.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our digital products, which are personalised and delivered instantly upon purchase, we generally do not offer refunds once the certificate has been generated.

Exceptions

We may consider refunds in the following circumstances:

• Technical Issues: If you did not receive your product due to a technical error on our part
• Duplicate Orders: If you accidentally placed the same order multiple times
• Significant Errors: If there are significant errors in the generated certificate that cannot be corrected

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase by contacting [email protected]. Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

7. Content Guidelines

When naming a star or adding a dedication, you agree not to submit content that:

• Is offensive, defamatory, obscene, or inappropriate
• Contains hate speech, threats, or harassment

• Contains personal information of third parties without consent

We reserve the right to refuse or modify any content that violates these guidelines. No refund will be provided if content is rejected for violating these terms.

All content on our website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, certificate designs, and software, is the property of Your Star in Space or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your Licence

Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:

• Print and display your certificate for personal use
• Share your mini-site link with others
• Download and use your personalised video (Nebula tier)

You may not use our products for commercial purposes, resale, or to create derivative works without written permission.

9. Disclaimers

Service Availability

We strive to maintain continuous availability of our website and services. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may temporarily suspend services for maintenance or updates.

Star Visibility

While all stars in our database are real and have verified coordinates, visibility depends on many factors including your location, light pollution, weather conditions, and the star's apparent magnitude. We do not guarantee naked-eye visibility of all stars.

Website Hosting

We aim to maintain your star's mini-site indefinitely. However, we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the hosting service with reasonable notice. In such cases, we will make efforts to allow you to download your content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in question
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• We shall not be liable for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill
• We shall not be liable for events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such cases, the exclusions and limitations shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
